JC Photography is owned and operated by husband and wife, Justin and Jess Connor. Their interst in photography started, like most parents, when their first child was born in 2003. Unfortunately, they did not own a digital camera at that time, and film was expensive. As a result, there were too few photos of their sons first big moments.
Realizing this, Justin purchased their first digital camera for his wife as a gift for Christmas. During the first hour, she took over 800 photos.
As time went on, and they had more children, they upgraded to a better camera. At that point, it was evident that photography was more of an obsession for them. They began taking photography courses, and taking even more photos!
Eventually, they were asked to photograph friends and family frequently. Thus, JC Photography was born!
Now that Justin and Jess have three children of their own, and they are constantly on the go, they have come to understand that families these days may not have family portraits taken as often as they would like, simply because they do not have time.
Sometimes, even the thought of introducing their toddler to a brand new environment, like a formal portrait studio may seem a bit daunting. For some, the trip to the portrait studio is just too much for youngsters to handle.
So, instead of opening up a storefront studio, they choose to photograph their clients in their most comfortable, natural environment, doing what they love. This works well for families, and helps to capture those moments in time, that often pass too quickly.
Great photos are taken in homes, and places where people are most familiar with. A more formal studio setting can also be set up in your home if you prefer, as well as location photography at a place that is special to your family and friends.
